About me
Hi, I'm Jan Justin Caiyod, a graphic designer based in the Philippines. I earned my bachelor's degree in Information Technology, specializing in Animation and Motion Graphics, in 2023. I have been creating graphical designs since 2021. Originally, since I was a kid, my passion was creating traditional arts and began creating digital arts. My foundation in digital illustration allowed me to transition seamlessly into graphic design, where I applied my artistic principles while applying different fundamentals in each field. I also have two years of experience as an artist for a local business and company, where I contributed creative solutions and designs. Also, I served as an instructor at my college school, teaching topics in digital drawings, 2D graphics, and 3D graphics. This role provided me with valuable teaching experience and positive feedback, reinforcing my passion for creativity and design.
My Story
I began my journey in graphic design in 2020 during the pandemic. With a strong foundation in creating digital 2D art, I sought opportunities to support my family and cover personal expenses. This motivated me to study graphic design and secure a side job. During this period, the transition to online classes allowed me to balance my studies and work effectively, gaining two years of valuable experience with a local company.
Before graduating, I also worked remotely as a personal graphic artist for various local businesses, further refining my skills. Upon earning my degree, when I graduated college, I was honored when they invited me to join as an instructor, recognizing the impact and performance I had as a student in the same field.
Today, I continue to pursue opportunities to expand my knowledge and industry experience, aiming for both personal and professional growth while adhering to strong creative principles.
